Primrose of Marion Hires New Sales Director

MARION, OH – Primrose Retirement Community of Marion has hired Miki Ziegler as Sales Director.  In this capacity Ziegler will oversee all sales and marketing efforts, as well as public relations events and professional outreach, for the independent and assisted living community.  She began her duties in March, 2017.

Zeigler brings nine years of healthcare and senior living experience to Primrose with her, beginning in 2008 when she obtained her State Tested Nurse’s Aide license from Starting Place Career Center.  She worked at Altercare of Bucyrus as the Social Service Coordinator for seven years and has spent the last two years at Carlisle Place Senior Living as the Sales and Marketing Manager.

“Miki is a wonderful addition to our team,” said Primrose Executive Director Sandra Rowe.  “She brings with her years of experience in customer service and sales, and has certainly shown a passion and great enthusiasm for our residents,” she added

Primrose of Mishawaka Hires New Director of Nursing

MISHAWAKA, IN – Primrose Retirement Community of Mishawaka has hired Terri Smith as their new Director of Nursing.  In this role, she will guide and oversee the overall care of residents and, in conjunction with Executive Director Leah Bennett, manage the nursing staff.  Smith, who began in her position on Feb. 8, will also ensure compliance with all necessary regulations.

Smith is a graduate of Ivy Tech of South Bend and is currently attending Western Governor’s University of Indiana.  She expects to graduate this spring.  Smith was most recently a case manager at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, and prior to that, a staff nurse in orthopedics -also at St. Joseph.

“I love working with seniors,” Smith said.  “I am inspired by their stories and the life experiences they have to share.  I look forward to working with the great staff at Primrose and to helping our residents transition to their new lives here,” she added.

Primrose Retirement Community of Mishawaka is located at 820 Fulmer Road.  The community consists of 36 independent living apartment homes, 40 assisted living apartment homes, and eight townhome villas.

Primrose of Lima Hires New Sales Director

LIMA, OH – Primrose Retirement Community of Lima has hired Ashley Heaphy as their Sales Director.  She began her duties on January 23 and in this capacity Heaphy will oversee all marketing and sales efforts, public relations events, and community outreach for Primrose of Lima.

Heaphy attended Rhodes State College and is currently attending Liberty University.  Prior to joining Primrose, she worked at Elmcroft Senior Living.  During her time there she served as the business office coordinator, training and development coordinator, and the dining service director.  She also worked at Otterbein as a marketing administrative assistant.

“I’ve always wanted to work at Primrose,” Heaphy said.  “They are known for being a wonderful place to live, and I wanted to be a part of their team because they care about one another and their residents as if they were all family,” she added.

Sweetwater of Billings Hires New Director Of Nursing

BILLINGS, MT – Sweetwater Retirement Community of Billings has hired Jody Ferestad to be their new Director of Nursing.  Ferestad began her duties on January 9th and in this role, she will guide and oversee the overall care of residents and, in conjunction with Executive Director Rhonda Olson, manage the nursing staff.  She will also ensure compliance with all necessary regulations.

Ferestad brings 19 years of nursing experience to Primrose with her.  She worked for St. Vincent Healthcare and Billings Clinic Hospital and the City County Health Department.  She is also a mental health advocate and past certified facilitator of wellness classes.

“I am excited to use my experience to promote excellence in care at Primrose,” Ferestad said.  “I look forward to providing education that encourages our motto ‘This is Living!’”, she added.

Primrose of Shawnee Hires New Director Of Nursing

SHAWNEE, OK – Primrose Retirement Community of Shawnee has hired Malinda Osborn to be their new Director of Nursing.  In this role, Osborn will guide and oversee the overall care of residents and, in conjunction with Executive Director Jimmy Gibson, manage the nursing staff.  She will also ensure compliance with all necessary regulations.  Osborn began in this capacity on January 23.

Osborn attended Northeastern Oklahoma A&M where she obtained a degree in applied science in nursing.  She has been a registered nurse since 2007.  Prior to joining the staff at Primrose, Osborn worked in a level one trauma center.  She also has medical surgical experience and extensive infection prevention and control experience.  Most recently, Osborn was the Director of Nursing at a long-term care/skilled nursing facility.

“Primrose displays all the values I hold close to my heart when it comes to caring for the greatest generation,” Osborn said.  “I am excited to teach and mentor the employees I have been chosen to lead, and look forward to seeing the team come together for the benefit of our residents,” she added.,

Primrose of Gillette Hires New Sales Director

GILLETTE, WY – Primrose Retirement Community of Gillette has hired Lisa Jackson to be their new Sales Director.  Jackson began her duties in December of 2016 and, in this capacity, will oversee all the marketing and sales efforts, as well as public relations events and community outreach, for Primrose of Gillette.

Jackson attended college at the University of Wyoming, where she has degrees in business and education.  She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in human resources, also at the University of Wyoming.  She spent 16 years working at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper doing physician recruiting and hospital/physician relations.

“I consider it a privilege to be in a position to offer seniors a home that provides the support they need and the independence they desire,” Jackson said.  Primrose Executive Director Nancy Mills adds “We are excited to have Lisa on our team.  She brings a wealth of experience and many great new ideas to the table.”

Zande, a graduate of Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI, brings more than eight years of senior living experience with her to Primrose.  During that time, she traveled throughout the country doing training in senior living sales and customer service as well as assisting communities with their census.

“What excites me the most about being at Primrose is seeing our residents smile,” Zande said.  “It is wonderful to be able to help people find a new home that they truly love,” she added.

A graduate of Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Wagner brings 25 years of sales and marketing experience with her to Primrose.  She has worked in finance, technology, and healthcare in Billings, Portland, OR, and Denver, CO.

Primrose of Rogers Hires New Sales Director

ROGERS, AR – Primrose Retirement Community of Rogers has hired Angie Clark to be their Sales Director.  She began in December and in this capacity Clark will oversee all marketing and sales efforts, as well as public relations events and community outreach, for Primrose of Rogers.

Clark attended the College of the Ozarks and earned a science degree from Northwest Arkansas Community College.  She is currently enrolled in the Organizational Leadership Business degree program at John Brown University.  She brings with her 13 years at Innisfree Senior Living as an Event Coordinator and Heath Care Administrator.  “The vision of the Primrose organization aligns with my own vision of serving seniors,” Clark said.  “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to expand my skills while developing relationships with seniors,” she added.

“We are excited to have Angie on board,” said Executive Director Chris Clifton.  “She is already an asset to our team and we look forward to accomplishing great things together,” he added.

Primrose of Rogers is expected to be open in the summer of 2017.  When open, the retirement community expects to employ approximately 50 people.

DeLon has a business degree from Ball State University and a certification in management and communications from Cornell University.  She worked for Marsh Corporate Supermarkets from 1977-2006 as a Corporate Manager.  She was responsible for direct store accounts and coordinated over 750 associates and vendors.

“I came to Primrose because of their great integrity, customer service, and solid reputation,” DeLon said.  “I believe this is a place where my passion, communication skills, and effective leadership are the necessary tools for success,” she added.
