Primrose of Appleton Hires New Sales Director

APPLETON, WI – Primrose Retirement Community of Appleton has hired Gunnar Witthuhn to be their new Sales Director.  Witthuhn began his duties on January 8, and in this capacity, he will oversee all the marketing and sales efforts as well as public relations events and community outreach for Primrose of Appleton.

Witthuhn has a degree in healthcare administration from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point.  He brings years of sales experience to Primrose with him, including his previous position as Sales and Marketing Director at Lakeshore Manor Memory Care in Oshkosh, WI.

“I wanted a chance to make a difference for seniors in my community and help them live like they deserve to,” said Witthuhn.  “I am excited to build meaningful relationships with prospective residents and their families,” he added.

Primrose Retirement Community of Appleton, located at 5715 N Meade St., is expected to be open in the fall of 2018.  It will be built by Hoffman Planning, Design & Construction, Inc. and is being financed by Investors Community Bank.  When open, the retirement community expects to employ approximately 50 people.

Primrose of Cheyenne Hires New Director of Nursing

CHEYENNE, WY. – Primrose Retirement Community of Cheyenne has hired Heather Christoffersen to join the Primrose team as Director of Nursing.  In this role, Christoffersen will guide and oversee the overall care of residents and, in conjunction with Executive Director David Sheppard, manage the nursing staff.  She will also ensure compliance with all necessary regulations.

Christoffersen has degrees in kinesiology and nursing, and brings 16 years of healthcare experience with her to Primrose.  “I came to Primrose because I had an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of area seniors as a Director of Nursing,” said Christoffersen.  “I have felt at home here since the first day I visited, and this is where I want to grow and mature in my nursing career,” she added.

The Primrose of Cheyenne Community, located at 1530 Dorothy Lane, consists of four townhome villas, 40 independent living apartment homes, and 40 assisted-living apartment homes.

Primrose of Kansas City Hires New Sales Director

KANSAS CITY, MO – Primrose Retirement Community of Kansas City has hired Angela Connley to be their new Sales Director.  Connley began her duties on November 22, and in this capacity, she will oversee all the marketing and sales efforts as well as public relations events and community outreach for Primrose of Kansas City.

Connley has a journalism degree from the University of Kansas and brings experience from Apria Healthcare and Indian Creek Healthcare with her to Primrose.  “When I walked into Primrose, I felt how warm and vibrant a place it is,” Connley said.  “I love being able to help seniors and their families transition into a new home,” she added

Primrose of Austin Hires New Director of Nursing

AUSTIN, MN– Primrose Retirement Community of Austin has hired Ashley Krebsbach to be their new Director of Nursing.  In this role, Krebsbach will guide and oversee the overall care of residents and, in conjunction with Executive Director Annette Ross, manage the nursing staff.  She will also ensure compliance with all necessary regulations.

Krebsbach has a degree in biomedical sciences from the University of Minnesota at Mankato and a nursing degree from Rochester Community and Technical College.  She has been working in the nursing field for six years, most recently as a case manager for Regency Home Healthcare.  “I am most excited to get to know our residents,” Krebsbach said.  “I want to be sure that they have the best possible care because they deserve it,” she added.

“We’re very lucky to have Ashley,” said Primrose Executive Director Annette Ross.  “She has a true passion for people and will be a great addition to our Primrose team.”

Primrose Home Office Hires New Memory Care Coordinator

ABERDEEN, SD – The Primrose Home Office has hired Sarah Viola as their memory care coordinator.  In this new role, Viola will train staff in providing care for persons affected by dementia, encourage excellence in performance, and monitor how Primrose memory care communities are applying a person-centered approach to their care.  She will also conduct site visits to various Primrose communities.

Viola has a master’s degree in occupational therapy.  Prior to joining Primrose, she worked in home health, long-term care, rehabilitation, acute care, and geriatric psychiatric environments.  Thinking outside the box to come up with ways to better promote the remaining abilities of those she served was, and still is, her top priority.

“During one of my continuing education classes on dementia, I had the pleasure of meeting two regional nurses from Primrose,” Viola said.  “They told me about what they do, and I was immediately impressed and knew I wanted to work for the company,” she added.

Viola develops and refines memory care programming for Primrose communities located in Aberdeen, SD; Anderson, IN; Newburgh, IN; Rogers, AR; Wausau, WI; Lancaster, OH; Appleton, WI; and Midland, MI.  “One of my passions is to make things better by solving problems.  We are always striving to take something good and find a way to make it even better,” Viola said.

“We’re very excited to have Sarah on board,” said Jim Heller, Primrose Director of Operations.  “We look forward to the many unique talents she brings to her new position here at the Home Office, and we are excited to see the new developments in memory care services that Sarah is bringing to the table for our residents,” he added.
