WAUSAU, WI – Primrose Retirement Communities, L.L.C. has named Darren Siewert of Wausau as a recipient of their annual $1000 Education Scholarship. The formal announcement was made on April 15th, during the company’s annual Leadership Conference in San Diego, CA.
Siewert is a CNA at Primrose Retirement Community of Wausau, and he also attends Colorado State University where he is majoring in Healthcare Management. He aspires to one day obtain a management role in a senior living setting.
“My job at Primrose has been the most satisfying of my life,” Siewert said. “I enjoy knowing that our work has a direct impact on the quality of our residents’ lives. The care we provide has an enormous impact on our residents and the entire community, and I am proud to be a part of it,” he added.
“Darren has great potential, and it is a priority for us here at Primrose to invest in our employees and in the next generation of health care professionals,” said Primrose Retirement Communities President BJ Schaefbauer. “We’re glad to be able to help him pursue his education, and we’re proud to have him on our team.”
The Primrose Education Scholarship award is given annually, and this year there were three employees chosen to receive it. The other two scholarship winners were Sabra Perdue, a CNA at Primrose in Pueblo, CO and Jessica Brickey, Sales Director at Primrose in Council Bluffs, IA.
