PUEBLO, CO – Primrose Retirement Communities, L.L.C. has named Sabra Perdue of Pueblo as a recipient of their annual $1000 Education Scholarship. The formal announcement was made on April 15th, during the company’s annual Leadership Conference in San Diego, CA.
Perdue is a CNA at Primrose Retirement Community of Pueblo, and she also attends Colorado State University – Pueblo where she is majoring in nursing.
“Nursing runs in my family, so I knew from a very early age that it was the career path I would also pursue,” Perdue said. “My employment with Primrose has been wonderful, because it gives me on-the-job training in the essential skills necessary to become a nurse. I look forward to work because every day increases my confidence,” she added.
“Sabra has great potential, and it is a priority for us here at Primrose to invest in our employees and in the next generation of health care professionals,” said Primrose Retirement Communities President BJ Schaefbauer. “We’re glad to be able to help her pursue her education, and we’re proud to have her on our team.”
The Primrose Education Scholarship award is given annually, and this year there were three employees chosen to receive it. The other two scholarship winners were Jessica Brickey, Sales Director at Primrose in Council Bluffs, IA and Darren Siewert, a CNA at Primrose in Wausau, WI.
