ROGERS, AR – Primrose Retirement Community of Rogers has hired Chris Clifton to be their Executive Director.  In this capacity, Clifton will oversee the day-to-day operations of the community – which is currently under construction.

Clifton studied accounting at the University of Arkansas and brings with him 20 years of experience in both hotel management and senior living sales.  “I came to Primrose because I love working with seniors and I greatly admire the Primrose culture,” Clifton said.  “I look forward to seeing the community serve seniors in and around the Rogers area,” he added.

Primrose of Rogers is expected to be open in 2017.  It is being built by CR Crawford and financed by Bear State Bank.  When open, the retirement community expects to employ approximately 50 people.

Primrose of Austin Hires New Director of Nursing

AUSTIN, MN– Primrose Retirement Community of Austin has hired Lexy Smith to be their new Director of Nursing.  In this role, Smith will guide and oversee the overall care of residents and, in conjunction with Executive Director Annette Ross, manage the nursing staff.  She will also ensure compliance with all necessary regulations.

Smith attended Rasmussen College and obtained her associates degree in nursing and is now pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing through Western Governors University.  “I am excited to be at Primrose,” Smith said.  “I look forward to helping the residents here to receive the quality care that they deserve,” she added.

Earl worked in sales and accounting for the Austin Bruins junior hockey team before coming to Primrose.  She studied professional communications and emerging media at the University of Wisconsin-Stout.  “I am excited to help grow our community,” Earl said.  “I plan to bring much dedication and hard work to this team and so happy to be part of such a welcoming atmosphere full of great people,” she added.

Primrose of Anderson Hires New Memory Care Director of Nursing

ANDERSON, IN. – Primrose Retirement Community of Anderson has hired Erin Shidler to be Director of Nursing for their memory care services.  She began her duties on August 17th.  In this role, Shidler will guide and oversee the care of residents and, in conjunction with Executive Director Carey Richardson, manage the nursing staff.  She will also ensure compliance with all necessary regulations.

Shidler, who began her duties at Primrose on August 17th, is a graduate of Ivy Tech School of Nursing in Kokomo.  She brings with her experience in long-term care and behavioral health settings.  “I came to Primrose because I truly feel they have the best interests of both residents and staff at heart,” Shidler said.  “I look forward to all the ways our team will be able to make a difference in our residents’ and families’ lives,” she added.

LANCASTER, OH – Primrose Retirement Community of Lancaster has hired Maura Helser to be their Director of Nursing.  She began her duties on August 30th and in this role Helser will guide and oversee the care of residents and, in conjunction with Executive Director Marie Wisecarver, manage the nursing staff.  She will also ensure compliance with all necessary regulations.

Helser became a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1995 and a Registered Nurse in 1997 through her studies at Hocking College.  She began working at Fairfield Medical Center in1998 and was there for 18 years before coming to Primrose.  “I am so excited about being at Primrose,” said Helser.  “The nursing staff is passionate about our residents and their well-being and I am looking forward to being a part of such a great team,” she added.

Larsen earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Morningside College and a master’s degree in healthcare operations management from Nebraska Methodist College.  He is a US Navy Reservist and worked for the Council Bluffs Community School District as their Operations Manager and Larsen Painting as a Project Manager before joining Primrose.

“Everyone was so friendly when I first visited Primrose that I immediately wanted to work here,” said Larsen.  I knew I could grow as a person at Primrose because of the amazing opportunities they provide,” he added.

Love’s nursing experience includes time in critical care and intensive care.  She has also been a clinical education director in a long term care setting where she was in charge of staff development, infection control and risk management.

Mangett has Bachelor of Arts degrees in public relations and communications from Heidelberg University.  She has been with Primrose since February of 2014, and prior to that, worked in skilled nursing, assisted living, independent living and home health for 12 years.

“I am excited to take my career to the next level while being able to remain at Primrose caring for our residents,” Mangett said.  My daily commitment is to ensure that each resident feels safe, connected and valued,” she added.
